At the moment... letih gle....

Yesterday, spent the whole day walking up and down the corridor of Llandough Hospital... Melawat dan menjaga kwn yg sakit... Plus with the exam coming... So, still had to stay up late to study... Dekat hospital pun study... Phew....

Then, after visiting hours abis, we rushed to find food... Since Llandough Hospital dekat ngan Cardiff Bay, so, ingat nak mkn Pizza je la.. Tgk2 pizza hut tutup awal... So, went to ASDA and beli pizza and blk masak dlm oven je...

By 10pm baru mkn dinner... Then, study sket bersama rakan2... Ala2 study group sbb sume dah stress....

Smpai this weekend je nak study... Then, dah stat placement... Percaya atau tidak... TAK SHOPPING pun lg.... Kecewa la jugak... Tp, tak pe la... Tunggu after exam terus g town !!!

Then, after L left, start tgk diary... 2010 is gonna be a really2 tough year... Sgt2 byk deadlines... examssss and mcm2 lagi.... So, here I am asking all of you to pray that my 2010 will be great and smooth... insyaAllah.... Ameen....

Shopping...

I didnt do any shopping during Boxing day... Ala.. sale smpai January kot.. tak yah kalut2.. buat pening kepala ja pi town time ramai org....

Since I travelled on the 27th.. so, tak shopping gak..

Until yesterday... I went to town.. Pegi awal la sbb takut ramai org... Just got myself a gift set perfume.. Actually byk perfume that I wanted tgh ade offer skang... Kalo ikut hati mmg beli 3 kot.. haha.. because mmg dari dulu lg suka these prefumes plus perfume yg ade skang dah abis..
I wanted Lacoste Pink, Davidoff Cool Water and somebody introduced me to Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely.. But since SJP nye bau mcm plg best semlm plus better bargain sbb dpt yg 50ml nye perfume, so amik la yg tu... And got a new pair of linen trousers from Next... Tu je...

I saw a nice Nine West handbag in Debenhams... Tp, GBP49... tunggu la nanti2 kot2 turun lg... hehehe... And ade jugak handbag cantik kat Accesorize... hadoi... But, at the moment, simpan duit dulu in case I need some retail therapy after stress study...

At the moment... I need to study for my Data Interpretation and Analysis exam on the 8th of Jan... Placement akan start balik on the 4th... and yet we still have an exam on the 8th... So, kena study skang sbb confem ble placement nanti letih and tak leh study.. But it's rheumatology and orthopedics.. sume org kata R&O sgt2 lepak.. So, hopefully abis awal... ngeh...

Skang gym tutup cause tgh refurbish... So, tak leh g gym utk destress.. dah la asyik mkn je keje sbb sejuk... GEMUK...

Ok ah.. dah penat update... nak kena study plak... Ta ~

I bought ticket yg balik from Belfast.. since I wanted to see Nana (kwn back at KMB) .. and it's cheaper...

Since Wany and Nad wanted to go to Belfast for Boxing Day, so thr 4 of us took the morning bus to Belfast....Waiting for the bus ~

And the next day, I took the 10.45 flight back to Bristol... Ni pun drama... Coz, no direct trains from Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff sebab ade engineering work... So, I had to take the train to Bristol Parkway, then bus from Bristol Parkway to Newport and finally train from Newport to Cardiff....

Dah la train to Parkway tak frequent.. Tunggu sejam kot... Then smpai Bristol Parkway, berjuta kot org yg nak naik bus g Newport... dah la mmg ramai org travel.. plus sume org ada luggage byk2... sapa kata MatSalleh berdisiplin ?? Sume berebut gak naik bus... siap potong2 line lg... But sbb dah penat and malas nak layan.. tunggu je la dgn sabar... And dpt la naik bus ke-6 kot.. haha....

Then lepas je Severn Bridge, jam teruk nak masuk Wales dekat toll.... Lizzie and Lauren dah berjuta kali text tanya nak smpai kul bape.. and I told them the story.. Lauren drove to Newport to pick me up and saved me some time having to wait for the next train.. Thanx Lauren.. Smpai rumah dha kul 4.30 ptg... Letih... But had sooo much fun with my frens in Ireland.. Thanx to Mimah, Mun n Nana for being great hosts.....

On Christmas day, we studied all morning... hahaha... since tak de public transport nak kuar kan... But we did go out after lunch.... mencari sebotol susu, dah sesikat pisang untuk dibuat cekodok...

We went to Phoenix Park... Berjalan kaki... sbb tak la jauh sgt... Sepanjang hari jalan mcm penguin.. sebab licin... waa... sakit kaki lepas tu....

Nampak tak jalan belakang tu... Mun ajak turun, tapi I rejected the idea... Because i said nanti jatuh sbb licin.. mcm skating lak..

Dublin part 2

As usual... kalo g holiday mesti gi jejalan.. So, Mun bawak la round2 Dublin.. But we didnt go any further than Dublin nye city cause Mun ade exam in January... Plus I have an exam as well on the 8th... Dua2 kena study... hehehe...

Dublin part 1

DRAMA !!!

Jen offered me a lift to Bristol Aiport... But since UK dpt 'snow' the 2 days before I left, we were quite worried that she will not be able to drive all the to Bristol... So, awal2 pg, she went out and wat test drive.. i mean nak tgk her skills driving on the ice la konon.... It snowed on the night.. and the next morning, since the temp is toooo low, so snow pun tak melt la.. and jadi ice... like proper ice.... and the ice stayed for about 2 days kot..

She drove to Velindre Hospital that morning to visit her patient... And Katie came to our place after that... She told us about the 'news'.. Both Severn Bridges (bridge utk ke England from Wales) are closed due to ice falling from the bridge... agak bahaya la coz kene kereta kan... But, ade laluan lain which is gonna take about 2 hours... So, we decided to leave early... But then, elok naik kereta je ade news kata traffic teruk smpai Newport.... In my mind mcm dah pasrah.. Tak pegi pun tak pe... So, we went straight to Cardiff Central to check the train tickets... Dah la RailCard dah expired.. kena renew... Dah naik harga kot... Time 1st year GBP20 je.. last year 22... this year jd 26 weh.... Stress !!! And train pulak delayed coz snow... And at that moment rasa mcm patut ke bazirkan duit and naik train jugak and end up having to come back to Cardiff sebab telepas flight.... But I took the train yg kul 1... smpai Bristol Temple Meads kul 2.... sbb delay... and kelam kabut amik bus... dah la bus lmbt smpai.... Berlari2 la kat Bristol Airport tu... Tgk2 flight delay.... Ceh... buang energy ja.... So, I made it to Dublin...

First night I stayed at Mimah's house.. She was my roomate back in KMB... then baru jumpa Moon the next day sebab dia baru balik from Notts... Busy lady la katakan.... Ngeh ~

1 more day ~

Yes... I more day.. Then I'm free from surgery...

Actually dah Merdeka since last week since my consultant dah sign my forms.. (Budak nerd, consultant sign la awal).. But then, being a keen bean, pegi la hospital hari2 gak... Still bgn kul 5.45 pg and kuar umah kul 6.50 pg just to catch the bus from Heath to POWH, Bridgend....

Makin hari, makin susah nak bgn pg.... And dah nak dekat ngan holiday, fikiran melayang.. Like during ward rounds muka mcm nak tido... Team tgk semcm je... Then, during clinic, kena amik history from like 5 patients and all my histories are like RUBBISH.... punya la malas.... huhu... dah la partner dah tak dtg sbb dia dah malas... So, tinggal la sorang terkapai2 and kemalasan...

So, tomorrow morning ada ward round and ward work... Then my reg akan buat teaching utk sume surgical students kul 11.00 pg, and 2nd teaching by another reg kul 12.30tgh... So, should abis kul 1.30 pm la esok... Which is GREAT !!!!!!!! But, tak de transport nak blk... Waaa... Might have to catch the train back.... hadoi... And I think 3 org je kot surgical students yang akan dtg esok... hadoi....

I used to think that I'm gonna be upset to leave Urology team.. But NOT !! Ntah la.. minggu ni mcm tak suka urology... Tgk muka junior doctors mcm dah tak lalu dah nak jumpa... And I think diaorg pun dah bosan tgk muka ktorg...

I more day to freedom !!!!

Dah sethn dah kot blog ni wujud.. Ngeh...

Tak ingat the exact day when i first started blogging... But I know it was during last year's semi final... I mean SCD nye semi final... Hari ni semi final utk SCD 2009... So, dah sethn la kiranya blog ni... heh....

My two days could never be worst than this...

Thursday - By myself (again) all day long.. Was in Mr. S's clinic after lunch... Ok... Akan tulis dalam bahasa melayu... Sume org tau this surgeon mcm sgt2 menakutkan.. So, I went there dgn muka pucat.... But, luckily, the F1 and Reg were there.. So, mcm buffer the atmosphere a bit... Each he sent me away with a patient, mmg muka nak nangis...

Before he went to see his last patient, he said "Whoever has finised can go"... The F1 looked at me and he said GOOO !!!! Ape lg, asked him to sign my form and terus kuar....

And did my on call... Nothing much to say.... Was quiet....

And today, POST TAKE ward round was horrible... Bormbarded by questions... and rasa bodoh gle2....

Lepas break pegi teaching... Asyik kena tengking... Knowing too much salah... Tak tau pun salah... Stress gle... Sume surgical students emo kot.. Due to high ego, sorang pun tak mintak signature from this registrar.... Emo nye pasal, Ross and I walked all the way to the train station and took the train back to Cardiff... And to make the day worse, train sgt2 penuh.... So, berdiri la kami sepjg journey 20 mins... And smpai Cardiff sejuk gle2... And walked home from the train station....

Haish... Am I doing the right thing ??

I know I shouldnt be saying this in the Blog.. Tp, nak jugak !! Cause I'm soooooo HAPPY !!!

I was on my own as usual la this morning.. Went to the ward... And Alison tagged along because her ward round abis awal... So, smpai ward kul 8.30 pg for ward round.. Surgical ward round mmg stat awal.. Usually bila smpai ward, diaorg dah halfway tru... Elok2 smpai ward, jumpa my registrar... The F1 and F2 are not in.. Dont know why.. I told him that the F2 on nights.. Dont know about the F1... (I know the team more than he does kah ? )...All of sudden he said..

R : Have u done bloods before ??
H : (Muka confuse).. Yes... but under supervision...
R : Ok.. U have to do one now...But i cant supervise u..
H : Huh ?
R : I have theatre at 9.. So, I have to finish ward round before that.. And this blood needs to be done now.. Urgent...
H : Ok.. I'll try...

Alison was unsure... She never done it before while I have done it a few times.. but obviously with the help from other doctors.... My reg passed me the form, and showed me the patient and left....

I was Sooooo PANIC !! So, pegila amik brg2... Lepas tu, went to see the patient.. And guess what ??? I GOT IT !!! yeay !! Was really2 happy.... Sebab buat sendiri.. Ingatkan nak teketar2... but Alison said I looked very confident... Muahahahha... and yes.. I'm soo happy.. And then he asked me to send the sample to Pathology.. Balik from Pathology, ikut la dia for ward round... Since the junior doctors are not in, saya la terpaksa buat forms and paperwork... Forms for bloods and ultrasound je pun... And the ward sister ingat I am the junior doctor so, she kept asking me question... What ??

Lepas tu, malas nak g OT... Amik history, then lepak kat Common Room.. Didnt learn much today.. Even the reg mcm ckp sorry sbb tak sempat nak ajar ape2.. I said to him, "It's fine.. at least now I know where the forms are, how to do bloods and where pathology is... "

Yeay !!! Sume org tak puas hati sbb diaorg jrg dpt buat bloods or venflons... I have done quite a lot considering that I'm a 3rd year.... Owh well... Untung pegi placement ngan partner yg pemalas sket.. Dpt bolot sume sorang2... heeeee...

p/s : We 3rd years are under a lot of pressure after seeing the topics for this January's Data Interpretation and Analysis exam.... FREAKING OUT !!

Such a drama queen ~

Yesterday, after watching SCD result show, I changed the channel.. Tup2 I found this movie on BBC 3
Yes.. Its' pearl harbor... So, I stayed in the living room to watch this movie again.. Dah bape kali tgk pun tak ingat... Sampaikan my housemate ajak kuar g Nandos pun tak layan.. Dont tell her that... Sebab I told Lauren n Jen that I was just tired.. So, malas nak kuar.. Padahal dalam hati nak tgk Ben Affleck.. muahaha... but i was tired tho... tak tipu...

Bygkan, dah bape kali tgk cte tu pun, I still cried at the end... hadoi.. Nangis yang over lak tu.. Haish....

Ok ah.. need to do some readings...

Just wanna write something... nak update la konon... Sorry to people at home esp abah and mama for not calling them.. seriously i couldnt find the time to call them.. sebab kuar rumah awal pagi, tak sempat nak gayut... balik rumah dah kul 6ptg which means org kat msia dah tido... and bila mlm, tdo kul 10/11 mlm.. org kat msia baru nak bgn... haish...

Since i'm doing surgery now, so agak penat la since kena travel ari2... Placement tak de la teruk sgt.... which is a lie kdg2... But after all, there's always something that makes me smile by the end of the day.... plus, placement makes me lose weight.. haha...

Like example.. We knew since last week who our new f1 is... And was not looking forward for that.. sebab mcm2 cerita la dgr pasal minah ni... Tp, tak tau sape f2 yang baru until I met him on the ward on Thursday. He seems a bit quiet tho... Tp, mcm baik gle kot !! Dia pun mcm agak confuse sebab baru start his work at Urology... So, on Thursday, I took a patient's history, and after that, this f2 asked me ok ke tak.. Muka malu2 ckp ok je.. Then dia tanya nak amik darah tak ?? I said yes la.. but he said, "no pressure!!"... I was shaking kot time tu... argh !! Eventho dah penah buat a few time in Merthyr, but the last time I attemped, I failed.. But that was like 4 weeks ago kot.. And this time, he talked me thru it.. As some people dont know, when I start to panic, my face will go hot and red.. and start shivering... Nasib baik la patient tu baik and the f2 was there to support me... Yeay !!! Did it... He said it was a 'perfect' one.. The patient said he didnt feel anything... he said phleb yang amik darah the day before was worse... haha... So, I couldnt stop smiling... This f2 keeps on saying that I did a good job... better than he was when he was a 3rd year.. heeee.. Mmg senyum lebar la sehari..

And today... I presented another history... He said it was really good esp my diff diagnosis and my description on the pain.. walaaaaa ~ Another smile.. Dia tanya ade ape2 ke nak dia ajar.. i requested for some examinations la.. malangnye, he wont be in next week... he'll be doing nights... Which means we'll be stuck with this F1... waaaaa... But, on the bright side, I will be on call on the 10th.. which means, i know which f2 i'll be working with time on call... ngeh2....

We survived the 1st 2 weeks of surgery placement.. Em... Some people might say it's nothing.. but not in Bridgend when u have to get sign off for every single thing... and byk gle benda yang nak kena buat... and being a keen girl... sah2 la dpt signature utk sume kan... hehehehe...

But, fair enuf.. i like being keen... dah la dpt partner yg malas nak dtg or suka ponteng... So, i am always on my own.. So, mcm agak rapat ngan team and they are now willing to teach me and give me more responsibilites... which makes me happy la of course... as example.. time ward round, they ask me about patients sebab diaorg pun lupa which patient is which etc... And I have to show them places around the hosp when we do the outliers... cool eh ?? hehe... So, i got to do more stuff like venflons and bloods.... so far i have done 2 venflons and 4 bloods... and cant wait for ABG now... Haish...

Asyik merepek pasal placement je... Em.. ye la nak cte kat sape lagi... Cant wait for christmas break.. i have got my euros for dublin.. heeee.... :)

Ok... need to get back to 'work'.. ie greys anatomy and private practice.. at least i'm learning something on friday evening... heeee....
