Lizzie text me after gym saying that she wants to go out... Tp, obviously tak leh g town cause ade rugby match... Dia kata nak g McArthurGlen or Talbot Green (Llantrisant).... So, I said yes la ... but said to her after Asar.. Maybe sebab bosan kot dok rumah.. plus tgh homesick sebab org kat rumah makan lauk kambing pastu tak telefon balik.....ceh ~

She came to pick me up at 2... Sampai Bridgend kul 2.30... Ramai gle org kot... Parking penuh.. So, we used the overflow car park... Hurm.. Bridgend is super duper sejuk and hujan...

Disebabkan ramai org... we didnt buy anything.. except for a diary for myself kat the works.. yes... memandangkan dah tak dpt diary TM dah, so beli la satu... bajet nak jd lebih organise next year... Lizzie and I both need to be more organised... Kalo tak huru hara hidup... asyik lupa dates je... hahaha..

Then... elok dah abis satu round, baru teringat I need to get a water proof jacket... Tapi tak nak baju hujan.. and nak yg berkualiti... ari2 g placement mesti kebasahan sebab hujan n angin kuat... so, tawaf la satu bridgend cari waterproof yg ade fleece yg tak mahal sgt.. Punya la kedekut... byk gle kedai masuk, satu pun tak berkenan...

Then, Lizzie ajak g Matalan kat Talbot Green... Cause I said to her kat Matalan ade.. aritu nampak... So, went there and I bought one !!! Trespass and kaler merah !!! Ade pink and purple.. Tp, amik merah la... yeay !!! plus ade 20% off (dont ask me the price... but i think its reasonable sebab welsh weather ni membasahkan... )Bahagia gle... So, tidakla kebasahan lagi lepas ni... atas je la.. seluar still basah... tp, tak yah la berperang ngan payung dah lepas ni ble angin kuat !!!

Arent we good girls ??? Tak shopping sakang pun... Beli yg perlu je... haha....

p/s : Pssstttt... Angah, guess size ape niyah beli waterproof tu ?? Sooo proud of myself... :P

Happy but sad ??

Sedih la... Woke up early and siap2 nak g hospital... upset la... It's raya and i have no plans... Ingat nak pakai baju kurung, tp, sbb angin kuat gle nak jalan kul 6.45 pg.. so, mcm tak jd...

Stress sebab during ward round, asyik kena tanya ngan reg.. hadoi... byknye benda nak kena tau... dah ah tak de partner ari ni.. so, terkapai2 jawab sorang2... and tbe2 je the F1 suro intepret ECG... muka selamba je ckp.. I know nothing about ECG.... Kena interpret x-ray... Tau baca nama n age... and yg lain2 tak confident nak sebut... hadoi... stress gle... lots of work la nak kena wat this weekend...

And patut ade surgery kul 1.30 and teaching at 2... jadual yg tak logik.. so, decided to go to teaching instead.. tgk2 dua2 teaching cancelled... so, surgery tak masuk, teaching pun tak de... Habuk pun tarak... Nasib baik ade org drivekan balik... tak yah tunggu bas kul 5...

Anyway... nak balik RAYA kat msia... em.. but... at least ari ni happy sebab put venflon in again... yeay !! Agak tekerjut gak sbb patient tu nye vein agak susah.. tp, F1 tu suro wat... luckily berjaya !! He asked me to do ABG gak.. tp, tak berani nak puncture the patient's artery... so, he did it and said next time i'll do it...

Will there be a next time ?? Dont think so... sbb bukan sume F1 baik... heeeeee

2) Prepare for breast clinic
3) Read ECG made easy again (hopefully kali ni paham betul2)
4) Update lecture notes...
5) Call oncology patient..

I HAVE to spend my raya in the hospital.... Wanna know why ??

Because my partner is doing on call tonight.... So, he has to do Post take ward round tomorrow morning... Which means, tinggal saya seorang saja untuk ward round team U... So, I kind of like HAVE to go !!! Plus, the registrar is quite nice... And, the F1s and F2s are rotating next week... So, we will be getting a new F1 for Urology (Btw, I'm with urology team for 4 weeks)... ngeh... So, now I know bladder and kidneys really well... Anyway, back to F1, the next 3 weeks akan menjadi sgt2 huru hara sbb this F1 sgt dikenali sebagai sgt2 strict/stress or mcm2 lg... Oh well.. We'll survive !!!

Ok... Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha...

What a day ~

So many things happened in a day... leh buat drama.. haha...

Left the house at 6.45am.. and came back at 8.00pm..

Basically we had...

1) Bus sampai UHW lambat...
2) In surgery for 3 hours... Berdiri selama 3 jam... Nick (partner utk surgical block) and I sgt2 sakit pinggang by the end of the day... Plus, surgery yang patut amik 20-40 mins jadi 3 jam sbb mcm ade complication sket.. wooooo....
3) Took the bus back... 5 girls and 1 boy.. Kesian Nick.. Ktorg the gals asyik sembang benda yang selalu girls sembang la kan... Ingatkan dia tido... Tgk2 dia terbgn and gelak kat ktorg... And start mengarut skali.... Bocor segala rahsia perempuan di atas bas itu...
4) Went to ASP group meeting at 6.15... Haish.. Ni pun drama... Kena assult/abuse/harrase dekat cafe tu... Nak cerita panjang, tanya la later.... Takut gle kot time tu... Muka merah padam... Time tu mmg pikir, kalo jd ape2, harap2 Nick leh la selamatkan sebab dia main rugby... muahahaha...
5) Came back at 8pm... And finished all my work basically NOW !! Not all work la... just benda2 yang nak kena siapkan by esok...

So, skang, saya nak tdo !!!!

p/s : To abah n mama.. I will be on call on the 10th Dec... Just got the date yesterday...

J : (Watched Dr. V on TV)... Nope.. Tom is better
H : I think Dr. V is cuter ! Tom is just tooooo round !! I mean his face ~
J : I can't believe this Husniyah.. Last year you were crazy in love with Tom..
H : What ???

And later, I started watching Tom's videos on youtube.. from Last year's Strictly...

Then jen called me

J: I wanna go for a drive.. Fancy coming with me ?
H : Nope.. Have to do work...
J : Ok...

30 minutes later... Got a text

J: Did I leave my purse on the bed ?
H : YES !!!

Then, she rang me...

J : Can u please get the door... I left my keys...

Haish...

Then... She said
J : I went to the BAY to get petrol... But realised didnt have my purse with when I was about to pay.. So, had to call Katie to come and save me... And she only had 15 pounds with her... So, had to use all my coins for petrol...


HAHAHAHAHAHA...

p/s : To people at home esp abah n mama.. We fixed our shower SENDIRI !! Hebat kan ?? So, shower kitaorg dah best !!!!

Next block... ROSS.... Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.... And the great thing is, the group of people that I will be spending the next 8 weeks with are BRILLIANT !! Early starts for surgery but I will try to enjoy it !!!

I'm a bit high !

It used to be drawing bloods make my day.. Highlights of the week la konon... Whenever I managed to get blood from real people (not dummies) succesfully, then I'll be smiling all day long...

And today, I managed to get this in !!


Yup.. Venflon.. Or IV cannulation... YEAY !!! Obviously I was not by myself... Supervised by the other team's reg... Haha..

And have been jumping all around... Happy !!!

Ok.. Let's hope I can do bloods tomorrow... Coz my consultant is very keen on me being able to do it before Friday... What he means is "Confident to do it on patients by myself".. Very ambitious of him....

I love my camera...

Went to see fireworks at Rhymney... And I used my camera to snap some pics... the fireworks settings la... And the pics are brilliant.... LOVE my camera !! Walaupun pernah ditumpahi air, and terjatuh di Spain... It's still the best camera... hehe...

Missing her ~

It never crossed my mind that I will miss her soo badly.. Having her in London (2hours away) is a bliss... I started to miss going to London on weekends... It's like having a place to go whenever you need to run away from life as a medical student or your housemates.... I need a break.. But currently the only place that I have been spending my weekends after stressful weekdays is my room !! How BORING !!

I need a place that I can go and just pretend that there is nothing to worry about...
Winter holiday is coming soon... And guess what, I have no plans... AT ALL !!! Angah, mai la London buat PHD ka.. ngeh ~

My FREEDOM !!

I finished my 5 Thursdays with KT (Honorary Lecturer) and he signed my A&C form... Which means I'm FREE !!!

So, no more nightmares and sleepless Wenesdays nights...

To celebrate it, we went to Nandos... Katie, Jen, Lizzie and me... Yipee... As usual la... sebab dpt 20% discount guna NHS id... So, enjoy the pics....

Before getting the vaccine, the nurse asked me...

Nurse : Is there any chance that you might be pregnant ??
Me : NO !!
Nurse : Are you sure ??
Me : I'm NOT pregnant....

** Nampak muka mcm pregnant kah ???

Then, in the clinic....

Dr. B : Are you married ??
Me : NO !
Dr. B : Do u have a boyfriend then ??
Me : NO !!

** Nampak muka mcm dah kawin ke ??

Then, in the clinic the next day...

Dr. B : So, you were born in 1982 ? 27 right ??
Me : (Muka terkejut).. NO... 1987....

Dalam hati "What makes he thinks that I'm 27...

Seriously.... Do I actually look old ??? I'm 22 and single and enjoying it.... What's the matter !! hahaha....

I got it at last ~

Last weak I was unsure nak amik swine flu vaccine or not.... Then, on Monday, went to meet my new team at 9am... And met my new house officer.... Plus the pharmacy... He showed me his site of injection... A bit bruised.. After ward round, the F2 said she's going to get her vaccine now and ask me whether I want it or not.... And without thinking much, I said YES !!! hahaha.....

I dont have any problems with needles... At one point rasa mcm aku ni drug addict ke sbb suka plak ngan needles.... haha.... sket2 org try amik darah.... gle tak de pain receptor.... So, I didnt feel anything when the nurse injected the vaccine....Only the next day I first noticed the side effects.... Obviously la.. amik vaccine ape pun ade side effects... Mula2 tu rasa mcm nak demam.... flu like symptoms.... Then time dlm clinic with Dr. B rasa lenguh2 badan.... Mcm nak kena flu tu.... Dr B asked me what's wrong sebab nampak gelisah kot... haha... So, I told him la... Guess what he said to me...

" You are not strong enough to win this Swine Flu WAR !!"

I was like.... ERMMMMM... Terdiam terus... Anyway.. after about 5 days... dah makin ok.... as usual lenguh2 tangan, and a bit itchy dekat tempat inject tu... but i would say the pain of this vaccine is surely less than the flu itself..... hehehe.... Plus free kot...

Eventho dah amik vaccine, still ade risk untuk kena swine flu... But less la... May Allah protect us la... Bukan takut kena the flu itself... but, as a professional (cewah) we have to prevent from giving it to patients...

Ok la... stop beleter ye Husniyah.... Till then.... Salam sayang buat family at home...

I'll be with Dr. B for 2 weeks starting tomorrow... And this time around.. ON MY OWN...

And yesterday went to town... And terjumpa Dr. L (MY GP tutor) dekat town... haish.... MALU ~ But, being a polite student, I said HI to him... Sempat la berbual2 dengan his wife... Phew.....

Ok.. need to get back to endocrinology.... waaaaa ~
